Custom Foot Orthoses

 

Commonly referred to as orthotics, a Foot Orthosis is a device that can be discretely inserted into the shoe to support, align, prevent and/or accommodate biomechanical foot abnormalities and improve how the foot functions. Used in conjunction with appropriate footwear, a Foot Orthosis can be effective in helping to treat a number of foot and lower limb problems including:

Foot Orthoses can also help address foot and lower limb pain and complications related to health conditions such as diabetes and arthritis.

Semi - Rigid Foot Orthosis

Using several different densities of orthopaedic grade foam, we are able to create an orthotsis that provides the support needed to maintain the foot in a neutral alignment while still providing cushion and comfort. These Foot Orthoses are great for sports, running and other active uses.

Rigid Foot Orthosis

Made from rigid thermoplastic, these Foot Orthoses are used for maximum support. They work extremely well in treating unstable pes planus and planovalgus deformities.

Rigid Gait Plates

Made from rigid thermoplastic with a reinforced toe plate, these Foot Orthoses are used to influence the patient’s line of progression during gait to help correct excessive in-toeing or out-toeing.
